Job description

 Based in Madrid or Valencia, the selected person will be part of the experienced sales team of SMA Ibérica Tecnología Solar. The job holder will be responsible for making sure all Distribution sales targets are met within the designated sales area or accounts for Residential, Commercial &Industrial and Utility segments.

 

 

Key responsibilities

  • Maintains and expands business (Increase SMA Market share) with existing local key accounts and acquires new distribution partners if need it to reach sales targets.
  • Responsible for the sales of SMA inverters and solutions for solar systems (including storage) as well as the associated communications technology.
  • Develops long lasting relationships by providing professional technical solutions, consultancy, and product training for our innovative solar inverter’s solutions to the key accounts, also keep the relationship with main Installers /EPCs part of our loyalty program.
  • Prepares, lead, and follow up tenders for photovoltaics inverters acquisitions coming for main customers, prepare the sales and distribution strategy to be successful on this bidding process.
  • Carries out market research, competitor situation and prepare forecast according to customer expectations.
  • Acts as a close liaison with the local Sales Director and the German sales and product management department
  • Contribute to cross- and service-product bundle selling
  • Participate in trade shows and conferences actively

 

Requirements

  • High graded Bachelor´s degree, better a Master, in Electrical Engineering with a keen affinity for technical products
  • Represents a combination of a strong customer-oriented sales professional and an engineer, who has at least 6 years of working experience in the direct, indirect selling and distribution of sophisticated technical products, ideally in a multinational company
  • Evident Experience in distribution business, also whole sellers
  • Excellent Spanish and English communication skills
  • High motivated and dynamic approach to sales
  • Strongly Success-oriented and flexible team player
  • Experience in PV sales involving local clients is an advantage
  • Availability to travel: 70 % of your time visiting customers, prescriptions activities, fairs and events.
