Role Objective
The Service Engineer Large Scale is responsible for performing commissioning, maintenance, and repair of customer equipment. The role provides remote support to customers and service providers to resolve technical issues, establishes and maintains proper business relationships, and carries out necessary administrative duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide remote support to customers and service providers via the service line and Online Service Center, with expert knowledge of SMA Large Scale products and services.
- Collaborate internally with service and sales colleagues to ensure smooth operation and support.
- Perform second-level on-site services for commissioning, maintenance, or repair of SMA Large Scale products.
- Maintain and control personal spare part stock, company car, and tools.
- Deliver training to customers on basic operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of SMA Large Scale products.
- Conduct second-level detailed error and event analysis, acting as a SMA Senior Expert.
- Properly escalate technical issues to R&D when required.
Requirements
- Education & Training
- Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or similar.
- Knowledge of Industrial Communications (Modbus, RS485, etc.).
- Knowledge of solar technology and electrical grid management.
- Relevant work experience in a similar role.
- Professional Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
- Skills & Competencies
- High communication skills with strong customer orientation.
- Team player attitude, including when working remotely.
- Multi-tasking and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong follow-through, time management, and planning skills.
- Proficiency with IT tools (Office, Salesforce, SAP, etc.).
- Availability to travel up to 50% of the time.
- English language proficiency: B2 level.
