Global Key Account Manager - Large Scale

Key responsibilities:

  • Responsible for management of Key Accounts and fostering long lasting relationships.
  • Responsible for the sales of the entire SMA product range, from Tender stage through to project completion, with a primary focus on inverters for grid-connected solar and storage systems (i.e. power plant solutions such as the SunnyCentral, MVPS and SunnyCentral storage inverters).
  • Monitoring, coordinating, and facilitating activities worldwide for strategically important customers, taking into account various business models (EPCs, installers, Distribution Partners, aftersales) in close partnership with the relevant SMA specialist departments.
  • Developing and implementing sales strategies.
  • Working closely with other specialist departments (e.g. product management/service/TSS) to respond to customer queries and tenders. Building ‘bid teams’ through cooperation with other departments and sales teams.
  • Developing customer business plans and implementing them.
  • Implementing tactical and strategic measures to increase sales.
  • Developing account-specific communication strategies.
  • Attending trade shows, trade partner conferences, congresses and forums. Conducting quarterly and annual meetings with key customers.
  • Implementing sales campaigns (e.g. in-house trade shows, training seminars, and technical advice sessions) and product-related on-site training workshops.
  • Identifying and analysing sales and market trends, identifying and visiting new customers with the aim of generating revenue.
  • Provide support to tender developers in order to offer SMA in tenders and analysis of sales results in case of possible participation in tenders.

 

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor´s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent in combination with excellent commercial skills, a Business degree is an asset.
  • Relevant professional experience in Key or Global Account Management, especially working with high-value customers.
  • Convincing professional sales personality with high customer orientation and negotiation skills.
  • Independent and result-oriented in combination with high motivation, flexibility as well as excellent communication skills.
  • Very good English language skills.
  • Willingness to travel (>50%).
