Commodity Manager
We are looking for Commodity Manager who will be responsible for management of complex, demanding purchasing categories with high value and complex manufacturing technology.
Place of work: Modlniczka (near Cracow), Poland
This is what your typical everyday life looks like:
- Purchasing strategy - create, implement and present for managed purchasing categories and suppliers,
- Market analysis - for managed categories (raw materials, currencies, competitors, new suppliers and technologies, etc.),
- Savings actions - initiation and introduction (technical and commercial),
- Project groups - involvement and support in the early stages of product/part/service development,
- Supplier evaluation - existing supplier base using available tools (e.g. Scorecard),
- Risk management - within the managed purchasing category (financial, quality, logistics risks, etc.) and implementation of countermeasures,
- Price negotiations - technical, logistical and commercial with suppliers (including difficult and monopolistic ones) and the conclusion of complex contracts,
- Commodity group - conducting and leading,
- Purchasing projects - „make or buy”, change of supplier, change of technology, other purchasing projects,
- Difficult suppliers - cooperate with representatives regardless of their level in the organization, especially senior management.
Skills you need for the role:
- Experience - in complex products, production technologies and negotiation techniques,
- Knowledge - of the cost structure and the process of creation and its optimization for the managed product categories,
- Communication - excellent communication skills to interact with customers in a positive and professional way,
- Education - higher technical or economic degree,
- Language skills - very good knowledge of English (min. B2), German would be asset.
