Manager Logistic
Goal of the role
The role aims to ensure the efficient and effective management of logistics, stock, and order handling processes related to time and material. You will collaborate on the preparation of service quotations, billing activities, and debt collection processes.
Initially, the role will have a particular focus on the Italian market and coordination, where you will not only work on processes but also on projects such as the renewed logistics partner for Italy.
Secondly on a project basis, you will initiate the launch of potential improvements across specific countries, and later South and Western European region (Benelux, France, UK, Italy and Spain), overseeing the flow of spare parts and materials, including obsolete and faulty units, while ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with internal procedures.
The role will eventually regroup all time and material related resources.
Responsibilities
This role consists of many tasks aligned to the maturity of our operations
Initial Phase: Italy-Focused Role
The role begins with a primary focus on the Italian market. The individual will be responsible for the function's day-to-day operations and strategic needs within Italy. This involves gaining deep expertise in local regulations, market dynamics, and operational specifics. This initial phase establishes a strong foundational base and a point of contact for the Italian business as well as collaboration with our German HQ to get improvements started.
Transitional Phase: Project-Based Expansion
This phase marks the shift from a local to a multi-regional scope. The role will take on cross-functional projects aimed at identifying synergies—opportunities for collaboration, efficiency, and shared best practices—across Italy, Spain, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, and the UK. The goal is to analyze potential benefits, such as streamlined processes, shared resources, or unified strategies. You will act as a linking pin between the countries and the identified strategies, act as a project leader, gathering data, coordinating with stakeholders in each country, identifying and mitigating risks and presenting findings to build a case for centralization or other potential solutions.
Vision for the future: Centralized Regional Department
The culmination of the project work results in the formation of a single, centralized department, based on findings. The individual's role would likely evolve into a managerial or senior position within this new department, overseeing or contributing to the implementation of the identified synergies. The goal is to achieve interchangeability, where processes, knowledge, and team members can be easily shared and moved across different countries, creating a more agile and unified operational model.
