Key Account Manager
Role Objective
The Key Account Manager is responsible for developing the business of assigned distributors, ensuring sales performance and fostering strong and long-term relationships with key stakeholders in the photovoltaic and electrical markets. They play a pivotal role in driving the growth of the SMA Solar Partner channel and implementing technical, commercial, and marketing initiatives across the territory.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage the business of assigned distributors, ensuring sales targets are met.
- Lead and expand the SMA Solar Partner channel.
- Deliver technical and commercial training while executing sales and marketing activities within the assigned territory.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with industry operators, including installers, engineering firms, and professionals in the photovoltaic and electrical sectors, to promote SMA products.
- Engage directly in key projects within the assigned region.
- Gather market intelligence and analyze local market dynamics.
- Participate in distributor-led events and industry trade fairs.
Requirements
- Proven experience in sales and key account management within the photovoltaic or electrical sector.
- Strong knowledge of commercial strategies and distributor management.
- Ability to conduct technical and commercial training.
- Excellent relationship-building skills and experience in stakeholder engagement.
- Market analysis and business development capabilities.
- Results-driven mindset with strong negotiation skills.
- Proactive approach, with the ability to work independently and in a team.
- Willingness to travel within the assigned territory, 3 days a week.
