Application Engineer Home & Business Solution
Role Objective
The Application Engineer Home & Business Solution provides technical and application consultancy to a variety of stakeholders in the photovoltaic industry, including installers, designers, investors, and system owners. This role involves supporting pre-sales activities, coordinating with the sales team, managing product orders, and contributing to the company's technical knowledge base through event participation and training sessions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide telephone consultancy in the technical and application areas during the pre-sales phase, helping installers, designers, investors, or system owners.
- Verify, after providing technical support to customers, that the product order has been placed by our partner.
- Support the sales network (Sales Engineers and distributors) by performing system dimensioning for photovoltaic installations.
- Provide specialist consultancy on storage systems and off-grid solutions.
- Propose product and service purchases (outbound) and guide installers’ purchasing needs to the sales network.
- Enter data from calls into the database for the processing of statistics and reports.
- Collect and manage customer complaints, ensuring they are addressed promptly.
- Participate in events organized with distributors, attend industry fairs, and contribute to Solar Academy training sessions.
Requirements
- Experience in the photovoltaic or electrical sector, particularly in technical consultancy.
- Strong knowledge of photovoltaic systems, storage solutions, and off-grid configurations.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to provide clear and effective support to customers and internal teams.
- Experience working with sales teams and providing technical support for product specifications and system dimensioning.
- Ability to analyze customer needs and propose suitable products and services.
- Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, including database entry and reporting.
- Proactive and customer-oriented approach, with a focus on providing high-quality service.
- Willingness to participate in events and trainings to further the company’s knowledge base and product outreach.
