The Systems Engineering team is responsible for the technical solution development, planning, execution, and monitoring of systems in the areas of renewable energy utility projects (large-scale battery energy storage system (BESS), super capacitor etc.).
What a typical day looks like
- Solution management: You will contribute to the testing, technical analysis and evaluation of large-scale battery energy storage system solutions from top ranking battery manufacture over the world
- Research & evaluation: You will examine products and data from international manufacturers (e.g., from China, Korea and EU) regarding technical parameters, performance, and project potential
- Tool development for increased efficiency: You will develop and optimize technical tools and templates to support pre-sales and offer phase
- Participation in project handover & kick-off: You will be involved in the technical project handover phase, focusing on technical questions and clarifying interfaces between engineering and project management
Your skills
- Studies: Ongoing studies in a technical field such as Renewable Energy, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
- Know-how: Basic understanding of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and inverter technologies to support technical analyses and system designs
- Initiative: You are able to work independently and in a solution-oriented manner, and you have an affinity for structured and reliable work
- Microsoft Office: Confident use of common Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Language skills: Communication in an open, agile team; language skills in English (Level C1) required, German skills (Level B1) is a plus
Your Checklist
- You are currently enrolled as a student
- You are available for approx. 15 hours per week and can support us for at least 12 months — ideally even longer
- You will receive fair compensation and benefit from additional great perks
- We offer a hybrid working model – you can work on-site or from home. Don’t worry, we’ll provide you with everything you need. However, you should be able to be on-site in Kassel/Niestetal during the onboarding phase and for regular meetings, also could accept business traveling to project site and exhibition
