Are you a highly skilled SQL Server expert who enjoys building reliable, high-performance database systems? Join our team as a SQL Server Database Administrator & Development Engineer, where you will work on complex enterprise-grade platforms, optimize database operations, and contribute to a secure and scalable data landscape. This role is ideal for professionals who thrive in technically challenging environments and are passionate about automation, performance tuning, and database engineering.
Your Key Responsibilities
• Administer and optimize SQL Server environments
Ensure reliable, secure, and high-performance operation of on-premise SQL Server instances, including capacity planning and instance configuration.
• Perform database tuning and maintenance
Manage reindexing, reorganization, statistics updates, and cleanup tasks to maximize performance and ensure long-term stability.
• Develop and optimize SQL code and ETL pipelines
Design and maintain T-SQL queries, stored procedures, and SSIS-based ETL processes, including automation through PowerShell or Ansible.
• Strengthen monitoring, security, and compliance
Implement monitoring frameworks (SQL native tools, Splunk), enforce RBAC, encryption, access controls, and audit policies.
• Support upgrades, system improvements, and collaboration
Plan and execute SQL Server patches and version upgrades, collaborate with infrastructure teams, and provide clear documentation for technical and non-technical audiences.
Required Qualifications
• 8+ years of hands-on SQL Server administration
Proven experience managing and optimizing on-premise SQL Server environments.
• Expert-level T-SQL and performance optimization skills
Strong abilities in query tuning, stored procedure development, and execution plan analysis.
• Monitoring and maintenance expertise
Experience with SQL Server monitoring tools, Splunk, and routine maintenance best practices.
• Strong security and compliance background
Familiarity with RBAC, encryption, auditing, and enterprise security standards.
• ETL and automation experience
Proficiency with SSIS and scripting/automation tools (PowerShell, Ansible), plus solid Linux/Windows server knowledge as it relates to DB hosting.
Desired Qualifications
• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Experience with high availability / disaster recovery (Always On, clustering, mirroring)
• Knowledge of data architecture and cross-functional collaboration
• Familiarity with cloud databases (Azure SQL, Managed Instances)
• Experience working in agile environments
